i am hooking up my system today and want to know if it is better to run my dvd into my receiver or straight to teh tvVideo only i have my audio already hooked up.. i was thinking it mught be better toi run it into the tv so i dont split the signal for no reason

It depends on what type of receiver you have, some receivers process video better then others.
Let me know what you are hooking up to and I can tell you what I would do.

i have a B*K avr 307 receiver and a toshiba sd-5109 dvd and a sony 61 hs30 tvThis message was edited by Gator on 02/10/02 12:06.02.

Your B&K 307 has a very good processing capability. If that was my system I would run it thru the B&K to have it switch the video for me. What type of wire are you using? I would use Audio Quest...
