I recently installed a 61" Runco plasma. The problem
I'm having is IR control, I've tried all the xantech stuff, tried a audio plex plasma emitter, no luck,
the Audio Plex worked but only had a range of about 6 feet. Called Runco the said they didnt know what to use, thats kinda of scary if they dont know what to use. I think they should ad a plasma friendly built in target. Hmm maybe I'll call Andy and suggest that.
Anyway, has anybody else had this problem. The Pioneer's, Sony's and the 42" Runco I havent had this problem. I have tied all the tape, backwards, speaker grill,ECT. tricks that are out there.
Help!
As of right now I'm ready to go to the Pronto RF module, I know that will work.

You need two of the audioplex's. A stealth 56 and a stealth 40. I've had this problem too. The reason for the two receiver's is those two frequencies 56k & 40k are the two frequencies that all of our equipment uses. If you only use one, the gear that uses the other freq will only work within close proximity to the plasma.

Go with an RF remote system. Troubleshooting can take longer than the installation did. Use what you know will work.

Anyone who can drop enough cash for a Runco 61" can deal with a few extra hundred.
