Will a diplexer degrade the SAT picture quality? I want to run a SAT feed through an existing Cable feed - but I don't want to degrade the SAT picture quality - should I run a separate cable for the SAT or diplex?

A Satellite picture with a 71% signal is exactly the same as a satellite picture with 99%.
That being said, Signal wise, There really is no reason not to diplex unless its NOT RG-6 already.
However, you cannot run Cable, Satellite and UHF/VHF over the same Coax. Of course UHF/VHF is becoming important for HDTV.....
so.... if its not a pain, pull the new lead.

Evan A diplexer will not degrade the picture quality. But given the choice I would run a sperate RG-6 For the Sat and one for the OTA HD Zinon
