Just wondering if anyone has worked with the new Fosgate product( www.fosgateaudionics.com ). I am familiar with the old stuff from decades long ago, and everyone knows about Jim, but the new stuff has caught our attention. We talked to the rep about it and the rep seems pretty low key about it. On paper and in specs, the product looks good, but just wanted to see if anyone had used it yet and could give us some feedback. On the same line, was wondering how MBQuart was stacking up recently since the line is a package deal with the Fosgate Product.

Jim Fosgate, Grand Rapids - Michigan, is a man that has devoted his life to create very reliable products.
About seven years ago, he has searched and aquired a new staff of reasearch engineering and designers that are the best in digital Audio/Video. His new preamp-Tuners, amplifiers and speakers are state of the art professional equipment, that deserve to be appreciated.
Jim is a good man, and he is very proud of his company and his quality control staff, and will never put out a product unless is meticoulsly engineered and inspected.

Wow, that looks like some pretty sweet stuff. The Vacuum Tube Pre-amplifier w/ 5.1 Channel Surround Sound & Dolby Pro-Logic II Looked pretty cool, and I like how he put an LCD display on the A/V Reciever. One thing about Fosgate, is that he always under rates his equipment so you end up with a better product than you expect. I remember when I looked into a Fosgate amp for my Jeep, and I was wondering why the Fosgate was so much more than the other amps with the same wattage. The salesman said "That says it's only 300 Watts...but it's 300 Fosgate Watts, and that is a BIG difference. He was right. I have never heard an amp so crisp and with such punch. Somebody stole all my equipment out of my Jeep last fall, and luckily they couldn't get the amp.

Hafler pro amps are one of the most conservatively rated amps in the industry. I have a Hafler P230 amp from 1988 that still continues to amaze me. I know of many studios that use these amps. You can't kill them! These guys are audio in my opinion.

BTW Hafler is the pro division of Rockford Fosgate.

The link is working now. The server must have been messed up yesterday when I tried.

Larry, How did you know where my M.I.L. lived?

I used to have a Hafler P1500 and P3000. I now Have a a P4000 driving a 18" sub for the LE in my system. The only complaint is no solid bowel movements after the movies. Plus, my Dentist loves me.

So far, the product looks good, just wanting to see if anyone had any real world experience with it or the MBQuart line recently.

Just an update, we decided to pick up the line, the FAPT-1 and FAA1000.5 came in today. We are installing the showroom system over the weekend. I will post a review here if anyone is interested.
