I forgot to mention, Circuit City sent me a pair of Sony T-60's to replace the "faulty" DSR's. Now that I figured out the cure for the locals, I can choose whether to return the Sony's or the Philips's.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the rear panels are identical, which suggests that the innards are, too. Can anyone tell me if there are any functional differences?

The DSR's are rated at approx. 35 hours of recording time, but a quick look-see of the Sony's manual hasn't turned up the capacity of the T-60. Anyone know? Is there anything else that makes one more desireable than the other?

Thanx,
Larry

To the best of my knowledge, they're identical except for the remote codes and the faceplate. If you swap the hard drives, they become each other.

The T-60 is also 35 hours.
