You may want to check out avsforum.com they have some great people with good opinions on this subject. I personally bought the Fujitsu. My understanding is the current top of the line is Panasonic and Pioneer. Though I haven't yet seen the new big Fujitsu.

As I'm sure you are aware, there are alot of reasons to buy a plasma. Each have their strengths and weaknesses.

Best, Cliff

All the plasmas that I have dealt with are pretty easy to work with as far as control. So it comes down to a choice of the best picture quality. I've always liked Panasonic flat displays, and the Runco's as well. The Pioneer's are also very good (they make their own plasmas also) and their new elite model puts out enough light so that even ray charles could see the picture.

I'm glad Askirsh brought up the Runco 61" beautiful pic. but the ir noise that thing puts out is tremendous
there was another system some 30ft away that it interfered with the ir on that system as well

From a control P.O.V. ONLY,
Sony can power up and switch within 1 second (were does the 3.5 to 4 sec that JPoff said come from???)
Most rich clients are videots and appreciate speed over quality!!!

The best one I have seen yet is the 50" plasma from Bang & Olufsen. With 1680 resolution, HDTV just pops off the screen. Unbelievable. Hands down one of the best screens I've seen with only an inch of casing around the screen edge. They also make a 61".

They just dropped their price from $18k to $13.9k, due to Panasonic lowering the price of the glass used to make the screens.

I just received the Marantz 61" Plasma and tested it in our burn-in room with a progressive input for DVD and on HD from a Hughes DSS and I thought that the display was incredible!!! The detail was excellent without many artifacts and the extent of the tech adjustments were many. I have not sold many Fujitsus or Pioneer displays, but just judging from my viewing experience, I would say that the Marantz is one of the best around. The Pioneer 50" Elite is also an excellent product.
