Do you
have a 3 year warranty on your TV without spending extra
for an extended warranty?
I don't know how long the Vizio will last but even if
it succumbs to an early death, I'll take the money I saved
and by a new one.

Call any servicer and ask if they can repair Vizio. Nobody does because there are NO replacement parts available, PERIOD.

Read the fine print in the warranty. It requires you to get the defective set to the repair station at your expense, in Mexico. The best advice I can give to the owner of one of these POS is to buy the extended warranty. They will replace the set if it breaks. Whoops, I forgot, the extended warranty only works AFTER the manufacturers warranty expires. So if you better hope it lasts till the extended warranty kicks in.

When Akai began selling plasmas 4 or 5 years ago they had the same problems except in Akai's case the sets had to be shipped back to China for service! They also had great prices.
