i got a picture off yahoo pic's and i scaled it down to the right size that pronto said go down to then it said that it cant load 1,4,8 bits per pixel

What it means is that you have to save it as an 8 bit per pixel or smaller image. If you open the file up in a photo editing program and change the color depth to 256 colors it will be 8 bits per pixel and will work
