Anyone do remote job locations? Like if you're in NY do a job in Florida?
I have a client in our area that is building a home in Florida. He asked us about doing his home down there. I have no problem going, especially since we just got another 20" of snow, not to mention the damn cold weather!
Anyway, what have you people done to make sure the client is well taken care of? Do you look to partner with a local company for service issues? If so, what did you do to make sure you were working with a good company? And lastly, what practices and processes would you put in place to make for a successful job?
TIA,
Dave

I believe near Naples, but I would have to check with my partner to be sure. I'll let you know.
Thanks,
Dave

I know quite a few installers in the Tampa/Sarasota area and Naples. I was involved for a while with a major developer "De Vosta" in those towns I mentioned above, doing all sorts of multimedia installations in new homes and some very large and expensive homes in Naples. I could have given you some good connections in those towns if your job was on the west coast. If you don't know any body down there in the Fort Lauderdale area, I wouldn't reccomend it for you to get involved in an installation job of this kind, it's too risky to work with other installers you don't know anything about and trust. Also I have noticed for the time I was in florida, a lot of people in this businness are exceptionally money hungry and will pull all kinds of stunts for it, more than any other state that I know of, maybe because work doesn't come that easy. Whatever your decision is, whatch out for the ultra nice people down there, those are the ones that will suck it to you. Good Luck if you decide to go. Mister. T

Thanks Brian, I appreciate your help. More info... the job is in a condo building in Pompano Beach, the whole 11th floor. You can e-mail me at [email protected] to discuss this further. Thanks again, Dave
