I need a multi region DVD player that is a progressive scan, and able to play all regions of DVD's. I have a customer that got a James Bond 20 DVD box set for Christmas and cant play them on his current DVD.
Thanks in advance.

Why not get the player chipped, the source of the mods for players are created by Fredrich Steinfels at http://www.dvdupgrades.ch try there for the mod kit. If he does not have listed on his site tyhen email him, he may well be working on the mod.

Marantz PMD930.

This is a pro model that does all regions, is rackmountable, and has RS232.

It is not advertised as progressive scan, but in my opinion, progressive DVD players are next to useless because it either forces you to use a cheap built in doubler or have a $15 circuit you won't ever use.

Malata is the best choice for all regions since it not only can play all 8 regions, but it also does a pixel by pixel conversion from NTSC to PAL and PAL to NTSC.

tsvisser,
You either need a progressive player or your HDTV will do it. The question is, which machine has the better part. Keep in mind that the TV's de-interlacer must be much better to make up for the extra digital-analog and back conversion.
