Don't be fooled by imitations. You can only order Stanford Enclosures through by calling the 800 line listed in this commercial. How much do you think a ground shaking Stanford Enclosure is worth? Don't answer yet because we want to tell you about this fabulous pair of steak knives were throwing in first.

Ok guys, i see where your comin from, wanna chump on my chops, thats cool.
But these 2 cabs were the very first 2 built as prototypes, and they are not intended to be the final versions.
Where you gonna get 2 bad ass bandpass home theater sub Cabs that are self powered for less than $700?
You wont.!!

Put ut up against a Velodyne HGS 12, sealed encolsure, with a 1500 (rms) watt amp. (3000 peak). If you want a one note boomy bass, then go your way, I'll stick to the real stuff.

CB1
why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

Yea, thats nice stuff, but the point is #1 it cost $1900 for one 12" And its a straight up, not a band pass. I bet anything that that one 12" wont hang with these 2 10", even though their only 280 watts.
I would rather have more for less, than less for more????
Veodyne is nice stuff though, dont get me wrong, but for the moey these cabs I build are hard to match.
Im just, tryin to make friends in here, not enemies.

Rotech you need to quit trying with this crowd, (I am proudly including myself in this crowd.) We laugh at Car Audio and think that it's second class crap, that makes more noise than music.

Beside's Paradigm has been making a bandpass 10" for a few years now, and at $519 it's pretty nice.

so don't go feeding us the "first time ever" stuff.

I admit, that the idea of building them into end tables it a great Idea. I don't know about all of you guys, but I work on multimillion dollar homes all the time, and I think that if we offered to sell an end table that looked like a a black formica sub then theyed be a little pissed. Maybe if you could make them liik like nice end tables that have an antiqued finish, or something classy looking. Also, if you are trying to sell it as a great sub, start out by not making it out of 1/2" plywood. Plywood tends to vibrate after awhile. We aren't purposely "Busting Your Chops" either. We're just trying to let you know not to waste your time here. Being custom installers, we have seen some pretty amazing equipment, and this doesn't cut it. Your formica edges don't even meet up and you can see the wood thru the corners. I think it is great for a home made sub. And you could probably sell it to a lot of people trying to save a buck, but not here.

holy retro look batman!

serious, looks like he did take the time and build it to the best of his abilities.

he may be a furniture maker (albiet an average one), he ain't no speaker builder. The cabinet really should have been built with high-density particle board, mdf, or even particle board.

i've been here and done this. we've built end table subs and in-floor subs for quite some time for our clients who would rather their equipment be heard, than seen.

I will tell you most people who actually LIKE music will tell you they don't like the sound of a bandpass enclosure. a bandpass tends to be very constricted in frequency response, which is traded for efficiency.

There is no perfect enclosure type out there. The very reason you still see sealed and ported enclosures (probably the most favored being the ported, which is somewhere between the tight bottom of a sealed enclosure, and the efficiency of the one-noted bp)
