I am having trouble with my Yamaha RAV-2000. It seems like it is putting out too much IR signal. when I partially block the signal it seems to work fine but when I do not block it, it will not work at all.

I haven't seen this for a while -- one (just one) Lexicon 500T's Sony DSS codes would not work unless we backed WAY up or bounced the signal off of a wall. The other 500Ts we programmed did not have this problem...or maybe it was the DSS receiver.
We "fixed" it by relearning the codes with the remote control about a foot away from the remote instead of the four inches that worked for everything else. It seems the Lexicon did not have a single output level, and that it tried to duplicate the level it was receiving.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |
