Is it direct TV or the manufactuers? I only deal with Sony. Do the 65's have the heat issue that the 55's and hd100 have/had? I've only installed 2 so far and hav not had a problem. Thanks Kev

Supposedly the heat issue is fixed, The activation problem is a DTV issue.
BTW The hd100 supports discrete on/off also

The 55's brought back the discrete power codes from the A1 & A2, but not the TV & DSS modes. The A3 & A4 didn't have anything. Schmucks.
They fixed the 55's heat issue by venting the cover. Don't know the serial # that started after, but if you come across one without the vents, don't use it. We used to call them the "card warpers".
