I don't have to imagine large installs. I have designed and project managed 3 very large residential projects including a 147k, 90k and a 65k square foot homes as well as 600 seat live production venues in Tunis and Hong Kong so I know what is need for that type of install.

The TestMaster was built for the everyday tech that needs to quickly trouble shoot something. The unit is very inexpensive for what it does. I would understand if I was asking 2,000 for the unit but, I am not.

It outputs composite video and it monitors composite video. It outputs stereo line level audio and monitors line level audio. It has a built in speaker and also comes with headphones. It tunes cable TV and gives you a gain level. It detects IR and gives signal level. You can listen to MP3's look at JPEG's and watch movies that are M-PEG encoded. It is also a handy portable data transfer device.

It has the best TFT screen you can get for monitoring. It has Lithium Ion rechargable batterys. Full USB download and upload capability.

If the unit does not fit into the high level installation which you are involved, I understand. Just think about the everyday Residential systems installer or the commercial CCTV guy or the automotive A/V guy. That's who I set out to help and to date you are the only guy who has not seen the value of the unit. That's OK. Just try to widen your view and relize that there are guys out there that don't need or can't afford very sophisticate test gear.

Thanks for your spirited comments,

Rick Rood

I never said I didn't see the value in this unit. I just asked simple questions from someone marketing a product on a message bosrd. (you can pay Remote Central for advertising) You have answered only part of my question. OK it outputs composite video. Composite what? CATV? Test patterns? MPEG video? JPEGS? I can't see using these signals to set up a DLP projector like you said you do with it. These are just my standards. I am not asking you to abide by them.

Good luck with your product.
