How to wake on lan a PC? I've tried to find out, how to build the magic packet in prontoscript - but I think I'm not experienced enough.
So here my paticular questions:
- Is there anyone who has done this before? I didn't find any notice in the philips prontoscript area nor here in the forum.
- If not, is there someone who knows how the magic packet has to look like?
- Is it recommended to start the pc by lan (does it really start always as it should), or is it better to use a relay output of the extender to shunt the standby switch?
- Is it possible to put it in sleep mode by lan?
Thanks for some answers!

I'm a newbee and have a TSU9600 which is working fine but I'm also looking to send a magic packet through my Pronto to wake up my NAS.

Anyone who can help ?

Thank you in advance !

It is impossible: you can't send any packets from 9600 when TCP socket is not created, and you can't create a TCP socket when PC is in standby. It is need to send a packet of lower level of OSI, that is not implemented in JS.

Magic packet is 6x 0xFF and 16x MAC, look to wiki. It may be incapsulated to any containers, say to IP packet.
