I am getting close to purchasing a Pronto TSU 9600 (possibly 2), but a couple of questions are bugging me.
1. Will I be able to macro to a specific location within Vista Media Center? I want to have a button on the 9600 that will turn my Onkyo AVR to my VMC computer input, then go straight to my online XM subscription within VMC and select a certain channel.
2. I plan on purchasing an extender to handle RS232 comunications on my AVR and my DirecTV box. My new house has inputs for whole house audio, but the location is different from the home theater equipment mentioned above. Could I control the RS232 on the second AVR driving the whole house audio somehow with the extender in my home theater? I have CAT6 cable run through out the house. Can I utilize this somehow? I figured if worse came to worse, I would buy a second extender.
3. Will the Pronto be able to communicate two way with my z-wave equipment that is controled through my computer? I was planning on hooking the extender up to the computer through RS 232.
Do I have the right idea with this stuff? I have been doing a lot of research, but it is quite overwelming.

The Pronto can communicate with anything that is controlled by computer or anything that uses a web browser on port 80 (not SSL) providing you write the code. TCPIP is TCPIP. PC, MAC, Linux it does not matter. Now a device that has no TCPIP communications, well someday . . .
