I have two TSU 7000's and I would like to add a 9600, can any of the programming be cut/copied or moved from the 7000 to the 9600 or does 9600 have to be programmed on its own?

Thanks for any help!

Your TSU7000 PCF can be imported into PEP, the editor for the TSU9600 and then downloaded to the remote. As imported your configuration file will only take up the 240x320 area in the upper left corner of the screen however. It will be fully functional, but you'll want to at that point work on updating your graphics throughout to take advantage of the TSU9600's 640x480 screen. In the process you'll also want to enhance the functionality of your configuration file programming functions for the TSU9600's Power and Firm 5 hard buttons. These are new buttons over what the TSU7000 offers. Also, the TSU9600's Page Up and Page Down hard buttons are programmable. This is not the case with the TSU7000, so you may want to take advantage of that. Guess I should also point out that the TSU9600 does not support the "Device Overview Template" and "Page Overview Template" pages as seen under the System device in the PPENG, the editor for the TSU7000. The NavMode and SmartSurf functions are also not supported, so if you were using these features to change between devices/activities you'll have to create your own Activities type page setup yourself.

For an overview of what the TSU9600 offers over the Pronto NG lines of remotes (TSU7000) click here.

Yes as the TSU9400's screen area is the same. There is one other thing I forgot to mention. It is with respects to your graphics once importing to PEP. This applies to the PEP editors for the TSU9400 and TSU9600. Any graphics from your imported PCF which are using the transparency option, "Use the color in the upper left corner as transparency color" will need to be edited in a graphics program and saved as a PNG as the only transparency option available in PEP for the TSU9x00 is the "Use Image Transparency (PNG)" option.
