For those of you out there that are slimserver users, you need to look at the new DUET offering. The simple player without the "Controller" remote is $150. The 9400 looks very mich like the new Slim devices controller. Couple the player with a T-Amp and if you have a decent wireless network, music without wires. I still prefer to have my music wired but that is mostly because I have 100 mb ethernet in every room of the house and in most rooms on at least two walls

Hi Barry,
Do you have any plans on adding support for farvorites selection in you version of the 9600 controller? I wish to use the Internet Radio in the Sqeezebox, and have added my radiostations as favorites.

Altnatively do you have the IR codes for the Squeezebox ?

Barry - I agree that the Duet is really cool!!!. But I am not sure what I could do with the "simple player". Would that $150 unit give me access to Rhapsody/Pandora? If so, how? I don't mean in detail, just a general concept statement. Could this work with any remote (eg. TSU7000) or would I really need the 9400?

At this point the Duet looks like a Sonos at half the price - and with more capability!

Re the duet and Rhapsody and pandora. You can try all of that out without spending a penny. Just load up the Squeezecenter software (look for downloads beta version 7) and set up the soft player. You can then see exactly what is provided for Pandora and Rhapsody.

Unfortunately I have not yet implemented Music Services for the 9400 or 9600 so neither of those controls would give you access to those services. The Duet controller does along with the web interface and all of the associated skins for iPhone, Nokia, etc.
