Would someone give me step by step instructions to change the 9400 from standalone to network mode. The issues I'm not sure of are:
1. Should I use static IP's for extender and TSU9600 2. Should I set up a different subnet (Internet router is 192.168.0.1) and the extender is 192.168.8.80. 3. My Cable internet router has a SSID = Customer ID; does the extender and the 9600 address this SSID.
Thanks in advance Alan

Use static IP for the Extender, DHCP for the TSU9600.
You should put the Extender on your router's subnet. 192.168.0.1 (assume Netgear or DLink?)
When the extender is in Network mode, it is on your network as either wireless or wired. You will have to configure the SSID as "Customer ID" and you should be fine.
There's an instruction manual that came with the extender (download from Philips if you don't have it) that discusses all the switch settings on the back of the unit.
FYI, use a cross-connect cable to configure. I've never been able to get the config utility to work just right in my configuration here at home. My desktop PC is wireless but has wired adapter and I just use that to config my extenders.

Thanks Lyndel, I will try this tonight and report back. The router is a Netgear.
