Perhaps I am missing somehting, but in my first attempt to start using ProntoScript I simply followed the ("where have I seen that before..."?) "Hello world" example in the Developers guide (v1.0, page 8); it doesn't seem to work. Help, anybody ?

I assume you mean label = "Hello, world!"; ?

This line will reference a variable called "label".
As there is no variable called label, it will create one.

If you have a button on the screen, make sure its ProntoScript name is "label"
Then try:
CF.widget("label").label = "Hello, world!";

This way, we are referencing the label object of the widget (in this case a button) called "label".

Also make sure your remote has the latest firmware on it (1.4.28).

Assuming you put that original script underneat the ProntoScript tab of the button, I believe a simple assign of label should work. If not, this.label="Hello World" will definitely work.

DZ- thx, the only issue appeared to be my firmware (was on 1.2.28, after upgrading to 1.4.28 everything worked fine).

It definitely helps to have firmware that supports ProntoScript before attempting to use a config with ProntoScript.

If you dont have the latest firmware, half of the stuff just doesnt work. The things i tried where fixed, even a connection error issue when i did a new firmware.
