Greetings:

My month-old 9600 has developed a behaviour quirk: If I've been using it continuously for a few minutes (debugging screens, macros, etc) and then stop, the LCD backlight goes off after the period of time that I've set in the Setup page. So far, so good.

But, when I pick it up (tilt switch) or push a button, sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for the back light to come back on, and when it does, it comes on at a very dim setting for about a second, then it behaves normally.

It didn't do this when it was new. The battery is fully charged, and I haven't changed anything lately, except that I did install the latest firmware last week, as suggested by a previous post on this forum.

Has anyone else seen this, and if so, is there a solution? It isn't a serious problem, but I don't think this is supposed to happen.

BTW, my configuration isn't extensive, so I doubt that it's a low memory situation.

Thanks,

-doug-

Are you using an RFX9400 Extender? If yes, in which mode?

No, not using any extenders, and I have the Wi-Fi and extenders turned Off in the setup screen.

This problem was reported during the beta test and addressed. I've not seen this behaviour since with my TSU9600. Are you running with the latest firmware update for starters? If so, the Prontoteam should be notified that this problem is still present. I have a few problems to report myself and plan to email the Prontoteam this week. I'd be happy to include this issue in my email as well.
