This may be a basic question. I have several IR commands entered that work but act as though they are repeating. E.G. in my DVR guide, when I press any of the buttons, Left/Right/Up/Down or page Up/Down, it scrolls several lines (or pages) in the menu, rather than one per press. I have gone to the database, where the IR is linked to, and swithched "Duration" to "Minimum" and it still does it. Suggestions, please.
Thanks, Marc

The functions you describe should be repeating codes in that a given code is sent continuously until you release the button. On a short button press however, a given repeating code should be sent only once allowing for discrete control as you navigate the GUI. If on a short button press you are moving around more than one spot at a time there is a problem. My first suggestion would be to relearn the codes using the original remote, then testing each. In addition, try setting the duration for each to .10 seconds. I had some repeating codes which would repeat on a short button press myself. Setting the minimum IR duration for these codes to .10 seconds worked in my case.

Setting it to .10 didn't help in my case. When you learn the code, does it matter if you just press the source remote buttin briefly, rather than holding it done til you get the beep (which is what I usually do)?

When learning repeating codes I always hold the source remotes button down until I get the beep. I'm not sure if this is the recommended practice, but it has always worked for me. Going with a short button press I've found can result in the repeating part of the code not being learned properly.

Well, when all else fails, please post the IR code data for the failing codes here.
