Tried to programme my 9600 with the Sky+ codes in the Factory dataset and none of them relate to my box. manually learning codes works but is a pain, can I download from the normal pronto site and load onto my datasets or do I need to get a special 9600 download for the Sky+
Other than that I am impressed with the box and the backlit base is really cool, makes it easier to locate the remote in the dark - providing the wife puts it back!

I agree that it is not clear which brand or device to use for controlling Sky+.
I resorted to trial and error and found that the Sky+ Brand worked. There's only one device under that brand.

My 9600 is arriving in a couple of days and I can't wait! In the meantime I have been playing with the Editor and noticed that the database does not have any codes for SKY HD (none that are obvious anyway). Anybody have any suggestions as to which would be best to use from the database?

Just a guess, I'd try the Sky + first as many companies share the same IR codes across devices of the same type.

I had to relearn all the Sky+ codes manually onto the factory dataset, I would imagine that would be the best way for you to upload your HD codes overwriting the factory set

I ended up manually learning the remote functions as I could not find any HD codes in the library.
SKY HD codes are not the same as the SKY+ or standard SKY remote codes.
I don't think there are any discrete codes for power on/off so I used the old trick of;
SKY for on SKY and Power for off.
