Hi All,

You can find bellow a code I wrote to control an AMX system. This include a Pronto program and an AMX module that allow to emulate an AMX touch panel. For the AMX part you just have one line to wrote and the rest of AMX programmation is the same like for an AMX touch screen.

Find also a Pronto example program that allow to control a Russound ST2 via the AMX system

Hops you enjoy

You rock.
This module has got me running down a whole new path with my 9600.
I modified your code and the login is now:
PRONTO sends an IP Message like: MATRIX,2,4 (switch input 2 to output 4 on a component switcher) or PLASMA,POWER,ON (turn the plasma ON) or TIVO,CHANNELUP
These messages get routed to a virtualdevice vdvCMDManager which then pushes them out to the relevant place. Inbound messages get processed by another virtual device which then pushes them as needed back to the Pronto device.

In 3 years, my NI-4000 has never crashed, never stopped and thanks to your start point -- I now have 2-way Pronto (and PC) interaction rocking!

Thanks.

(By the way, if you have a non-duet, Receiver module source code that you could share -- that would be the last piece of the puzzle).

Hey that’s a great idea,

Excuse my ignorance, but can you communicate with the Pronto over IP without a pronto extender,

Will the Pronto to AMX module allow control of the equipment connected to AMX, ports , IR, contacts, serial

Will I get bi directional control , and receive meta date from the AMX and display on the Pronto ( a media server meta data )

Could you send me the steps I need to perform and achieve the above
I’d like to see what’s involved , I have some past experience with AMX , and the old Pronto’s ccf, but very new to Amx Netlinks. and pronto script

Many thanks in advance

Pronto Extenders are not required for TCPIP communications. If the Pronto AMX comm link is TCPIP then there should be no extenders needed (by the Pronto)

So yes it's an IP communication so no extender is needed. The AMX module I wrote allow the Pronto Remote to emule an AMX touch panel so everything an AMX Touch Panel can do can be done by the Pronto Remote.

The ProntoScript code is part of a Device on the Programmation, so when you go on that device on the TSU, the ProntoScript connect to the AMX system and let the "pipe" open once you are on that device. THis is because I would like to let the possibility to the AMX system to send feedback to the TSU. I will write a second version of my module that will mount the link with the AMX system, then send command and the close the communication. I have no time to do that now but it's on my todo list.

please excuse my ignorance. With your additional code. The pronto will emulate all functions available from a AMX touchscreen?

Send him RC Mail as with only 24 posts, he may not frequent the site that often. If he has email notification to gmail/yahoo, this should get his attention.

$325 for a module of which I don't know what exactly it does, from a website that doesn't look trustworthy, no thanks..

I emailed him for this module if he replies I'll let you all know.
