Any thoughts, I am trying to send commands to EventGhost using the SingleShot Communications library, via UDP commands. I can get it to work via the emulator but not from my TSU9600, HTTp commands I am also using via the library works fine from both the emulator and the remote. Seems to be an issue for UDP
Any thoughts why it works from the emulator but not the remote?
I thought EventGhost had a TCP/IP port that could be used to send commands such that you'd not have to use UDP. Is that an option here?
A very generic subject might not get many views. Please consider changing it to something like "What is the best way to connect to EventGhost?" then explain your issue.
So I figured it out, all my other home Automation programs including the Emulator worked like it supposed too, lets say you have two instances of EG running on two machines with IP address of 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2 with a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0 with every thing I have used in the past if you broadcast the UPD command onto your network, with using the IP below, 129.168.1.255 every EG you have running on that network would receive the data. With the TSU 9600 I had to direct it to an individual IP, which is fine for me for I only have one instance of EG running. Just strange why the emulator worked one way but the remote had to do it a different way. I know EG used be able to use TCP/IP, can't say for 100% but I believe I read in the past that they took that out, or was limited in some form. Not sure.
