For a long time I have used a mac and my last machine was unable to run ProntoEdit in Mac BootCamp but it did work in Parallels. I have just ordered a new 2021 MacBook Pro running Mac M1 Pro Silicon and I am wondering if anyone has successfully installed ProntoEdit via Parallels or some other form of emulation?

I am hoping that I don't have to buy a windows laptop for one program when I already have a licence for parallels.

To answer my own question, now that I have a new Mac M1 Pro 14" laptop I can confirm that ProntoEdit works in Parallels with Windows 11.

I have tried to install it via Crossover (wine) and it installs but will not work properly. What is the other Microsoft component that needs to be installed along with ProntoEdit?

I think you need .NET Framework 2.5

When ProntoEdit installs it pauses to install a Microsoft component. I'm not sure what it is but I would ideally like to know where I can find it.
