I've acquired a TV lift and want to control it with my Pronto 9400. I've tried learning the codes from the IR remote from the manufacturer but they aren't working.
I asked for the codes and the manufacturer sent me:

UP 0x40
STOP 0x10
DOWN 0xB0
IR Connection 0x40F7

I'm not sure how to get these converted to a Pronto HEX code for the Pronto.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not enough information. What is the IR protocol in use? Do you have a document from manufacturer that you could share or maybe a code that you attempted to learn?

The codes I got are from a sales guy, not tech support. No documents about the codes. The manufacturer is Touchstone. I don't know what the protocol is.

Here is a code, for the UP button, just learned with one push, not being held down, from about 3 inches:

FFFF 00E3 0100 0008 0A05 3266 EF23 4372 5460 6F10 406F E260 6EFA 4149 1460 6F0D 406F E160 6F03 406F E760 6EFF 406F E360 6F04 406F EB60 6F0A 406F E260 6F05 406F DC60 6F02 4148 F960 6F0D 4148 FB60 6F06 4148 FC60 6F0C 4148 FE60 6F05 406F D060 6F06 4149 0060 6F05 4148 FC60 6F0F 4148 F860 6F03 406F DA60 6EFE 4149 0260 6F00 406F D760 6F07 406F D760 6F01 406F D860 6F02 406F D960 6F06 406F E960 6EFE 406F DB60 6F01 4149 0860 6F0F 406F D560 6F0B 4149 0C60 6F04 4149 0860 6F09 4149 0F60 6F05 4149 0560 6F09 4149 0C60 6F0F 4149 0060 6F0A 5079 DF66 EDB4 41BA CF60 6F04 5FFF F8

Here is the same for the Down button:

FFFF 00F5 0100 0008 0805 3461 585A 4003 EB65 91B6 4372 4F60 6EC6 4070 1660 6EC2 4149 3060 6EC1 4070 0E60 6EBF 4070 0760 6EC2 4070 0160 6EB3 4070 0F60 6EBA 4070 0560 6EA9 4070 1960 6EAC 4149 3460 6EC6 4149 1D60 6EC6 4149 1860 6ECF 4149 1F60 6EB5 4070 1260 6EB0 4149 1360 6EBD 4149 0A60 6EC7 4149 0B60 6EC4 4149 0B60 6EBF 4070 0160 6EBE 4149 1660 6EB8 4149 0A60 6EBD 4070 0A60 6EB3 4070 1360 6EAB 4070 1960 6ECD 4070 0360 6EBB 4070 0660 6EB9 4149 1660 6EBB 4070 0A60 6EB9 4070 0E60 6EB9 4149 1F60 6EBA 4149 1960 6EB7 4149 1460 6EBC 4149 1960 6EC0 5079 DA66 EBF9 41BA DB60 6ED3 5126 2466 EC11 41BA DC60 6ECD 5FFF F9

This Pronto remote has always learned the other devices fine. Also, I don't exactly know what the "Connect" code would be for. I have a question into the sales guy about that.

Try learning by waiting on the pronto screen to display ready to learn or push button. Then hold the OEM remote button until the Pronto beeps.

See if you can learn a code that starts with 0000 vs FFFF (Raw Learn).

What is the manufacturer and model of the lift? Have you googled for the manu/model to see if they have a manual.

We really do want to help but the data you've provided so far is not useful without more context.

The lift is a SRV 32800 Pro TV Lift, made by Touchstone Products. The manual for it has no information about the IR codes.
I got two new results for the learned IR codes:

UP
0000 006E 0022 0002 0157 00AA 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 05E0 0157 0055 0016 0E31

Do these new learned codes work on the Pronto? Is it possible they work if you press button repeatedly vs pressing and holding?

I took the clean learn data (0000 codes) and decoded with IR Scrutinizer as follows:

UP = NEC1 protocol
Device = 2 - 0x02
Subdevice = 239 - 0xEF
Function = 2 - 0x02

DOWN = NEC1 protocol
Device = 2 - 0x02
Subdevice = 239 - 0xEF
Function = 13 - 0x0D

The reason I ask if the new learned codes work is because they basically conform to what your original manufacturer's documentation specifies with a little twist that the bits in each byte are reversed.

For each NEC1 IR code, there are 4 bytes which are as follows for UP:

0x02 0xEF 0x02 0xFD - This last byte is obtained by inverting the bits in byte #3.

Your original data was as follows:
IR Connection 0x40F7 (This is usually a Device-SubDevice pair).

In binary 0x40F7 is 16 bits as follows:

01000000 11110111

So, if you reverse each group of 8 bits (a byte), you get

00000010 11101111

which is 0x02 0xEF and is exactly what Scrutinizer decoded for device and subdevice.

Now, UP according to documentation is function 0x40 which in binary is 01000000. Reversing the bits, you get 00000010 which is 2 in decimal or 0x02 which is exactly what Scrutinizer decoded.

Now, DOWN is listed as Function 13 (0x0D) in binary is 00001101.

Reversing those bits you get 10110000 which is 0xB0.

If you need assistance converting between hexadecimal, binary, and decimal, use Windows Calc.exe in Programmer mode.

When looking at the docs for the remote that is sold with the unit, that is an RF remote. Did you purchase some other remote in addition to this one to use? I'm curious how you got IR codes into the Pronto from an RF remote. :-)

Have you followed all the instructions about pairing the OEM remote to the lift? i.e. can you use the remote you bought to raise/lower the lift?

[Link: touchstonehomeproducts.com]

That being said, the unit is capable of pairing with an IR remote provided you connect the IR sensor to the controller.

Have you tried just creating some codes such as 3 codes for use with for example a Sony CD player and then tried pairing the the unit with the 3 codes you have? There is at least 1 video I found via googling illustrating how to do this for Touchstone units.

THESE ARE NON-WORKING CODES. DO NOT USE. THE BITS IN THESE CODES ARE REVERSED.

Here are codes I generated from Scrutinizer that have all bits reversed. If none of these work and the 2 you learned above don't work, then the issue is with the equipment and paring or connecting the IR receiver.

NEC1 Device 0x40; Subdevice 0xF7; Functions below

DOWN 0xB0

Thanks for all the help. Here is where we are.
The original learned "good" codes work. Confirmed by the fact that I have a Harmony and learned from the Touchstone remote and then taught the Pronto from the Harmony and those work. The problem, and thanks for the advice, was with the port on the extender. I've never had a port on an extender not work and these are all with single emitters.
Also, the lift in the video about pairing is for a different lift that Touchstone sells. In the video you can see they use a button on the control to start pairing. My control doesn't have that. My lift comes with a control with an ir sensor port and an ir sensor and an ir remote and a rf remote.
Thanks again.

Here are the three codes working on my TSU9400 with the Touchstone SRV 32800 PRO TV LIFT MECHANISM. These codes were learned from the Touchstone IR remote.
