I had a bad download that never completed. I reset the pronto (Home-Menu-Page UP), and now it thinks it is in setup mode, and to press exit. It is actually on the Pronto please wait screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried power cycling it?

If that does not work, try what is known as a 'complete firmware reload'. A search for those 3 words should find instructions.

Yes I have. I am now looking for a factory reset. I may have bricked my tsu-9600.

The factory reset is known as a complete firmware reload. The assumption here is you have a backup copy of your .xcf file on a computer somewhere because when you do this, you will lose any config in the remote.

Press the keys simultaneously prior to the the Philips logo showing up.

The complete firmware reload did the trick. It did not detect the Pronto, so I pressed the Troubleshoot button. As instructed, I pressed Home-Menu-Page Up. Then I pressed Firm1, Firm2, & Firm3 within 2 seconds, for at least 2 seconds.

This was not discussed anywhere, but once you have the Application Download Mode on the pronto screen, you open the TSU9600Updater (download from Remote Central), and follow the instructions.

The Updater could not communicate with the Pronto on the first few tries. It finally worked on the 4th or 5th try.

Thanks to everyone for the help! I don't have a brick after all!

I have the same problem with a TSU 9400.
Could you explain to me the procedure to do the firmware reload while powering up the Pronto.
Whre are the Firm1-3 buttons?
Thank you.

Firm 1, Firm2, Firm3, Firm4, and Firm5 are the Hard Buttons immediately below the TSU9400 screen.
