Hello members,
I can only upload files to my TSU9600 using an old XP laptop, only upload files to RU970 using W7 after fitting 9 pin serial. W7 refuses to recognise my TSU9600 so I wondered before my bid on ebay for a couple of TSU9300 has anyone had issues with these not being detected by W7, unable to load the Edit for this on XP so has to be W7. I love Pronto and really want to stick with them but its getting harder and harder. So can anyone confirm issue free recognising TSU9300 on W7.
Cheers

FYI, I think you will have same issues with a TSU9300 as it uses the same HID device drivers. When the Pronto is detected, Windows opens a drive to the Pronto for the upload (mine is H:). If you don't have a spare drive slot open, this could also be your issue.

I have no issues with TSU9600 on Windows 7 32 bit using PEP2.

Here are a few suggestions.

Using a mechanical pencil eraser or a Q-Tip with 70% ispropyl alcohol (turn off power to Pronto first), clean the contacts where the Pronto mates with the docking station.

Try connecting the USB cable directly to the Pronto without using the Dock.

If you have a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse you might try connecting a wired (via USB) device and remove the logitech first.

Thanks for the reply Lyndel. Built the PC myself running W7 Pro 64 bit and it performs well and yes I do have a Logitech keyboard that I disconnect first and it did semi recognise but uploading was laggy and unreliable but with my old XP it was fine. I've recently done a fresh system install so I'll try again. You have helped me decide to get my 9600 working first with PC before buying other models. Thanx again.

When you mentioned you use PEP2 Lyndel it got me thinking so I installed that on W7 as been using PEP1 on XP, result, all worked a treat and uploaded the config file in seconds, I'm one happy man, love my Pronto's and been using various models for over 20 years, nothing out there beats them.
