Does any one have a working Pronoscript that works with EventGhost?

I did a forum search for Eventghost and came across several threads. Many of the users in these threads have not posted in a while. However, there is one user I know personally who still has a working pronto solution. You might consider sending him RC mail. [Link: remotecentral.com]

Yes I looked at all of those. Most are talking about using IR. Already know how to do that. I am looking for IP and came across one but his links are now dead. So I am still searching. I should be able to do this using UDP. That's how I did it with iRule and DemoPad but have had no luck so far

If you have done this via IRule and UDP, you have a UDPSocket class available in ProntoScript and can likely do the same thing.
Also, reach out to LowPro via RC mail.

The email address under my forum profile is current. Got the email alert anyway per the PM Lyndel sent me. And yes, I only use IR with EventGhost. It's been working beautifully for years now. No issues. I have no experience with IP control unfortunately.

thanks, did double check and did enter in the correct email. sent from my Gmail and it did get sent back.
Any ways, I have used IR too, but IP is nice for you can send along Payloads. Data attached to the command that can not only trigger an event but you can use the data in the payload in a python script. So basically you could write one script for a device and use the payload to send out a correct command. Plus, I don't know about you but the IR plugin seems very gitchy. Have had it failed numerous times in the past.

One's mileage varies I guess. I haven't had as much as a hiccup with the IR control. Been controlling my HTPC via EventGhost and IR sent from my Pronto for many years now. It just works. And yeah, IP control opens up a world of possibilities. Not something that appeals to me though. Basic navigation is all I'm interested in and I've got that base covered. In any event, good luck mpg. Hope you get things working the way you'd like.
