You said you created library JS files.

Did you create the namespaced objects with top-level variable named 'com'? If not ignore the post.

If you would like more info, see page 48 of the Dev Guide 1.4.3.

There's an example there.

This would be how you eliminate variable name collisions where 2 libraries internally use a variable named 'socket' which is what I think you already noticed in your config file.

Thanks, will look at those pages. And yes, I did not use a top-level variable named "Com"

As stated I did change the variables so the two scripts now work. I'm OK with how I did it, for I used variable names that match the device I am controlling.

I just got time to review your DirectTV code from the config you had sent me and noted that the library you defined did not use the 'com' namespacing.

That is an older library as well. Been cleaning up my config files. Do you have any recommendations for the Directv code?

If you dont have to have a response, the make the Socket code asynchronous and have the button call a sendCommand function like the example i provided.
