I have a Pioneer VSX-LX503 receiver that I am trying to create. I downloaded the spreadsheet from Pioneer and I cannot copy / paste the IR codes. I am using Pronto Edit 3.0.23.0.
Here is an example of a code that won't paste:

Now I am confused if I copy from the post above back into Pronto edit it takes the codes? I tried pasting them into notepad and then PE and it does not work.

Perhaps Notepad added some CR/LF characters. ProntoHex should be one long string without any embedded CF/LF.

"Office-type" programs often contain funny characters. For example, they often replace the double quotes " (hex 0x22) by some "smart" quotes (opening and closing quote different) since it "looks better", or spaces by something else than 0x20.

open in notepad++ or hexedit if you want to see any special characters.
