Periodically I get this message, although I can only read the first part and am guessing at the rest. Basically the Pronto will not execute the instruction, nothing happens and I end up resetting the wireless extenders - all is then fine, but it does return from time to time and winds me up.
Set up is two TSU9800s, both used (though not at the same time) but usually just the main one. I have seven RFX9400s in stand alone mode, and when everything works, it all works perfectly.
I have noticed that on one occasion, one of the RFXs had an illuminated 'busy' LED, but the last time it happened that wasn't lit. I took the liberty of swapping that RFX for a spare, but it has happened since without 'busy' LED. Restarting the RFXs always rectifies it.
Any help greatly appreciated!

The error is Command Failed.
Make sure the RFX units have the latest firmware. You did not mention what firmware you have on either the RFX or the 9800's.
Here's something you might want to experiment with.
Have you also tried putting extenders in Network Mode vs Standalone Mode? If you do this, consider using Fixed IP addresses for each of them and configure the fixed IP address setting in PEP2. By doing this, you avoid extender discovery steps.

I have not idea about firmware - I take it that's a matter where connecting them to a PC is needed. Is there a thread with that on, or is it in one of the many manuals that you were kind enough to email me?
I did try network mode at the start, but it wouldn't seem to work for me.

I think you may have to connect them to a computer as I don't think the Extender Discovery Tool will work with an Extender in Standalone mode.
There are threads about how to use it and get it to work. You have first start the tool then flip switch on back (1-2-3 set to 3) to put extender into 'Configuration' mode. At that point, clicking on the extender line from the tool should launch a web browser where you can see an HTML page with all the information on it.
Again, it has been a long time since I used that tool and every extender I have is wired to my network.
If it is a single extender and any extender you exchange into that ID, you might try simply switching to a different extender ID. Also play with the placement of said extender as maybe there is RF interference around the extender and it is playing havoc with the wifi signal.
The RFX9400 has been known to require reboots, especially if not using the latest firmware (available in the files section).
