I have have a 7500 NG and have forgotten how to insert a complete IR code. I insert the whole block, close the window, save, then check my work. But it only remembers 50 of 2,000 digits. I must be doing something wrong.

I'm not a pronto user, but there is no consumer IR code in existence that's anywhere near that length. Typical signal is less than a tenth of that.

I paste this:
0000 006D 0022 0002 0156 00AB 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 05FC 0156 0055 0015 0E4C

All that can be saved is this:
0015 05FC 0156 0055 0015 0E4C

I must be doing something wrong.

I wonder what program you are trying to paste into. BTW, you should be posting in the NG forum:

The latter set of numbers is a short code format which the PPENG editor shortens your code to.

If you paste this one, it will not be shortened.

If you want to know what I did have a look at the Pronto Hex IR Format document or search NG forum for posts about short codes.

I have never seen any "short Pronto" that starts with 0015, cf. [Link: remotecentral.com] section B4-03

Looks to me like he's only getting the last 6 words, not short form.
