Hi all, newbie here.

I've been using a Harmony 1100 since launch and a 1000 before that.

It's beginning to look like time to change but there's no new big square remotes anymore so considering a used 9600.

Thing is I've moved house and all my kit is in a cupboard.

What's the solution if I went the 9600 route?

Is there a rf/wifi extender I can put in the cupboard so I don't need anything/line of sight in the living room?

I have a generic ir extender (a unit in the living room which wirelessly connects to an IR blaster in the cupboard) but it doesn't work with my new Arcam amp.

Cheers in advance

Either of the following should do the trick.

RFX 9400
RFX 9600

They can be found on auction sites.

Good luck, Mark

Note that the RFX9600 must be wired to your network, RFX9400 can be wired or wireless. I recommend wired whenever practical.

I looked at the top end Harmony remotes a few years back to replace my ailing TSU7500.

After trying them out for a few days, I was really disappointed. The functionality was terribly limited compared to the older Prontos. You can program any spot on the screen to have any function you wanted with any graphics you wanted. The Harmony remotes at that time were somewhere in between a system universal remote and the Prontos.

Now that was years ago, and your your Logitech Harmony 1100 looks like it may have had more versatility. I never tested those.

That said, expect that you will find that the TSU9600 is probably at least as functional as your Harmony 1100, and maybe even more advanced. I just picked up a used TSU9600, and I can already see more functionality than my older TSU7500 - Which could do anything I wanted for a single system remote control.
