Hey all,

I have a tsu9400 that I have been using for years. A few days ago it has begun acting weird. I have a uverse stb that I am controlling with it. The skip forward and reverse buttons now work once only. Subsequent presses dont work, although the ir transmit indicator on the remote lights up. I thought it was the stb, but the stock remote works fine. I resent the program from pep, updated firmware... no change. I'm stumped. Thoughts? Thanks.

Try This.
  1. You can clean the IR ports on the STB and remote (Glass Cleaner).
  2. Try the remote very close to the STB.
  3. The STB settings might have been changed by the company. Unplug the box for a minute and retry when it resets . It could take up to fifteen minutes for it to reset. This is a shot in the dark.
  4. Re-Learn the IR codes or choose them from a database. There are posts on this site about learning codes. Each Time You Learn a Code it can look different from the last , so try multiple codes. Set up a test page with just those codes and nothing else on the remote( it will download to the remote very fast ). If you get something that works , update your configuration.
  5. Try another STB if you have one .

And it gets stranger... the pronto works perfectly on another stb. and the uverse remote works perfectly on both.

Maybe I'll just switch the stbs, since I only use the pronto with one of them.

I am having the exact same issue with the FF button. It will work multiple times if I point the 9400 at the ceiling. But it's very fussy. I have two 9400's so I know it's not the remote. I am about 7' from the DVR (IPH 8110).

This is my hex code for FF:

4032 0000 0000 0002 0023 0040 0026 0028
