Hello, everyone. I haven't needed to visit the site for a while as my TSU 9400 setup has worked well. However, I just replaced a Samsung TV with a new LG and would like to import codes for it, but can't remember how or find out via several searches. I know I could learn many of them from the LG remote, but these new remotes don't have buttons for some things, such as the selection of the TV input.

Can anyone direct me to a list of the steps, or maybe provide a short list of what to do? Sorry if I missed anything during my searches.

Thanks for any help on this.

Ed

Look over the TSU7500 files.... I have a last years LG 65" 4K tv and the discrete codes worked with it... Use PEP 1.1 to import them...

I don't remember what Model tv I used I downloaded but, if you get stuck, I should be able to post the HEX codes for you...

Well, I gave it a heck of a try but I can't find the TSU7500 file you mention. Would you mind pointing me to it? Thanks,

Ed

If you still need it, I should be able to upload it for you, I did a test file to confirm it works and I should still have that someplace. It did take me 3-4 attempts to get one that fully worked (getting all the discrete codes for on/off and all inputs)

I know I got it from another model in the LG>TV area on the 7500 series remotes.

Here... I found it by looking at another thread where I posted a link to them...

[Link: remotecentral.com]

These codes are what works with my LG 65UB9500 all inputs and discrete on and off...

Thanks for the responses. I'll look into all of it when I get time (which HAS TO happen eventually). Really appreciate the help.

Wow. I actually got it work by copying and pasting the codes; never did that before.

HOWEVER, can't get the "volume up" to work. Tried pasting the code but it didn't work, so I copied the volume down code and manually changed the different 4-digit codes. That didn't work either. So I manually and tediously entered each of the 4-digit codes that comprises the volume up command: nothing.

Will try again tomorrow, unless someone spots my problem here. Otherwise, again thanks to everyone for their input. Not going to give up yet.

Did you paste the codes into the Volume + Hard Button on the System Page? If so, in the device that is having problems, go to the Device Properties and ensure that on Volume +, you have not chosen to override the System Page Volume + there (i.e. Punch-Thru is active).

Another thing to try. Does the code work if put on a button on a page in your configuration?

Please paste the original code you tried here so we can be sure on same page. Also, have a look at changing the 'Duration' of the IR Code.

Reason I am asking for the code is because I cannot locate Volume +/- in the Thread linked above.

Sorry to say, I don't know on the Volume up and down on the TV. My remote is setup (and my 7500 was as well) to Turn on the AVR and the TV on power up and control the volume off the AVR. I never tried to do the TV volume because I have it disabled in my setup.

Sorry about that. You might want to go through the 7500 area if you cant find a code on that page and try volume codes one by one.

I booted up my VM just to double check and I only imported on/off and input codes, not any TV volume. Sorry about that.

And Copying ID code is the best way to get codes... It opens a lot more options for you (there is TON of codes for the 7500 (seems like there is more owners of the 7000/7500 thank the 96/9800 models)....
