Hi

I'm new to this forum and am hoping someone can help me out.

I've had a Pronto TSU9300 which was professionally installed years ago and has worked perfectly until recently.

I'm based in New Zealand, and earlier this year, SKY TV sent out a software upgrade to all their boxes. Ever since the upgrade, I have to push every control button twice on the Pronto to get it to work.

I contacted SKY TV who weren't too helpful as the original SKY remote works fine, only trouble is, the unit is built into a cupboard out of sight so the IR doesn't work (The whole point of why I went to the Pronto!)

Can anyone please advise what I might be able to do as its become very frustrating.

Thanks in advance

Jason

First off, if must have the config file the installer created. It cannot be uploaded from the remote. If you don't have it, you will have to start from scratch.

Next, you might want to contact user GoPronto who is in Auckland. Or possibly Jason_VP.

You can find both accounts in the user section. Either one will likely provide assistance.

You might also want to post the Sky TV version you are running and maybe others here will chime in with some responses. I don't have Sky here in the states so I am not the greatest source for IR codes.

Thanks Lyndel

I do have the config file and have managed to track down the creator. Its possible a config change will fix otherwise the IR sender may need calibrating apparently

Cheers

you will have to possibly update the IR codes in the config. What it sounds like is they switched to toggle codes.

Start with user GoPronto to see if he has updated codes.

Send him RC Mail.

Hi Jason

if you are using the Pronto Wireless Extender ([Link: p4c.philips.com]) change the IR blaster on your sky box to the Axium AX-SIR1 ([Link: axium.co.nz]) these seem to be the only blasters that are reliable with the new sky update alternatively there are some new hex codes for use with nz mysky after the update but this may take a bit of experimenting to see which ones work with your mysky as it seems to vary from box to box...
