Hello- I'm brand new to pronto and trying to help an older friend. He has a TSU9300 and would like to change its config, but doesnt have the config saved anywhere.

Is it possible to pull the config from the remote and load it into PEP?

Thanks in advance for your help

They locked it down - I believe so it wasn't possible to copy someone else's config.

Some configs a very sophisticated and people would like to copy them.

If you search the forum its an often asked question, and the response has always been - not possible.

There was two reasons, really - first because dealers wanted it. They wanted to "secure" their configurations and prevent other dealers from being able to easily copy them. Second, because the config on the remote is not the exact same as the file on your PC... and the process to reverse that was not so easy, and wouldn't result in identical content (although, that's similar to how on the Pronto Pro NG, PNG bitmaps on files uploaded from the remote were reduced in color depth).

So, no. Can't get the config.
