Just to inform people that I have this installed under Windows 10.
It took a lot more doing than under windows 8.

As a couple of quick tips ensure you have the .net framework downloaded in advance, also you will probably have to kill off the ProntoDataService from an elevated admin level to allow the install through cleanly otherwise it will loop.

Happy to try and help anyone who needs assistance.

Similar situation here, no database visible after upgrade to Windows 10. Removed and reinstalled PEP 2.4.23 and all is OK now.

Steve,

I am a rookie on the site and do not have much knowledge with my pronto 9600 program. I was trying to download the pep 2 file to my windows 10 machine and i had problems with the install. I now have a bigger issue, being i cannot uninstall the program. It stalls half way through and will not complete. I have tried to re-download another file but it will not let me open a new file because the uninstall is not complete. Any advise???

Best option if your Running Windows 10

1. Install VMware player(newest version) or VMware workstation ($$$)
2. Find a license for Windows 7
3. Find ISO (updated ISO if possible)
4. Create a Windows 7 x86 VM (x86 for best compatbilty in drivers)
5. Install PEP and other Pronto apps to VM.

No problems going forward, If you have to NUKE Windows 10 for some reason, your VM is all contained(backup to a USB drive or networked computer before nuking). Connecting USB devices (including the Pronto remotes) is as simple as a click.
