My pronto TSU9600 cannot learn the buttons on the Humax DTR-T2000 Freeview box remote control.

Is there something wrong with my Pronto?

I switched it off and then again and it stiil does not learn.

Also, I cannot program the shift button on my Arcam AV888.

I get this error message: " Error: C46, Learn IR Timeout"

I seem to recall folks complaining about Humax. Might want to try a search.

With regard to learning...

The learn sensor is on the bottom side of the remote directly opposite the backlight button on the top. You will feel a raised 'dimple'. You don't mention what software you are using but I have found that Fast Learn is more reliable than a single learn. This is what usually keeps me from learning. You should wait until the TSU9600 screen says 'Learning' and dont' rely on the dialog box from the sofware. Once the 9600 says 'Learning', press and hold the button you want to learn. I recommend that the 9600 be either flat on a desk or in the dock and the remote you are learning be positioned 5-6 inches apart from the 9600. If you have harsh flourescent or ultra-bright lights in the room, you might want to dim them.

The shift button doesn't give a code i think,
it changes the code from the other buttons.
( so the code from for example number "1", will be different with shift holding down )
