What happens when you leave the power switch on, but pull the plug of the battery for the same amount of time as the switch?
If no improvement, what happens if you leave it unplugged for 10 minutes?

As I wrote it already: all works after firmware update, after cold reset all works as well but the screen which shows no buttons but white but sends signals. I think hardware failure on the mainboard as gopronto assumed. I think it is to throw away or for exploit.

The reason why I asked if it's been unplugged/turned off for more than a few seconds. Is because just a few seconds it's enough time for the captors to drain. Whenever the casino that I worked at would have a brown out, or a loss of power for less than 15 seconds. Nearly 90% of the slot machines would not function on that particular floor. All because the power wasn't disconnected long enough.
So we had to go to every slot machine and power them down for at least 30 seconds before powering them back up. Some we had to wait 10 minutes.

It does sound like a cold solder joint on the board. But before I declare that to be the issue, I would try this. Not sure if you have done it so I will ask.
Open the unit, disconnect and reseat the ribbon cable for the screen. Note that the screen cable and the touchscreen cable are 2 separate entities and that would explain why touchscreen always works.

Hi Guys , I have seen this type of error when the graphic chip comes away from the PCB .. but when we infrared reflow them some work again but only for a short while.. you could find a place near you that do reflowing.. this would be a last resort fix or bust.. Plus you will need to strip the pronto down before sending to be reflowed

Nice change in behaviour. After letting the RC quiet for a couple of days I opened it demounted the mainboard and disconnected the LCD to try a different motherboard which I bought over ebay. With this MB my screen worked but unfortunately this MB has another problem (USB connector dead). So I mounted my old mainboard back and since that time the Pronto works. We'll see how long. :-)

Excellent news.
The second MB, you probably could try to have the USB port repaired. A company who does component level repair shall have no problem if it's just desoldered.

Hello,
I am Julien from France and I have the same problem with my TSU9400. I bought it few month ago but I really tried it last week.
And after played with some hours, the screen become white several times and now, it is always white.
Turn OFF and change battery , same result.
I have try to disconnect motherboard and re-connect, but same result too...
Is the problem from MB or LCD screen ?
Idea for a non expensive issue ?
Best regards.

Thank you. I have checked all connection ( touch connector and screen connector ) but all is ok, no loose.
Problem in the morherboard or in the screen chip.
