I thought that I would share some pronto codes for use with Directv receivers. I’m using these with a Directv Genie HR44. These are the “hold button” codes for functions like the Play button. When you hold the play button on the manufacturer’s remote the device goes into slow motion play mode. The codes below can replace the normal codes you would use on a button. This gives you both the short-button-press and held-button-press behavior. When you add these codes to Pronto it will act just like the factory remote. A short press gives you one behavior and a held button gives a different behavior.

I got the codes by learning them from an old RCA RCRP05B remote control. This old remote can be programmed to send the directv hold codes. I then learned the codes from the RCA remote to my pronto. I’m using a Pronto TSU-9400. I found the information on how to program the RCA remote on forums.logitech.com in a post from 2009 entitled “Here’s how to add DirecTV long key press commands to Harmony”. There are pronto codes listed in the Logitech forum thread by they don't work for me.

Below I use the same button naming as the Philips ProntoEditProfessional database entry for the H20 DirecTV Satellite STB device. A couple of the button names are not obvious. The “Advance” button is 30-second skip forward. The “Replay” button is the 6-second skip backwards. The short-press behavior is listed first, then a slash, then the long-press behavior.

I just moved and in the process upgraded my DIRECTV equipment. Had an older dish and a couple HR22's. DIRECTV hooked me up with the new dish, the HR44 and a C41W. Kept one of my HR22's up and running for the added 2 tuners which also had a ton of recordings on it I had yet to watch I didn't want to lose. I'm a few days away from getting my Pronto equipment up and running. The more IR codes the better. Thanks for these.
