Hi try using the XP compatibility mode on your PC..
make sure your using a USB2 not 3 .

if that does not work try another PC or Laptop ,

Just a thought your not using an Apple machine with vmware are you?

No. I'm on a Toshiba Laptop. I've read that XP Compatibility mode won't work on Home Premium!?

Seeing how you are trying to download to the remote. Have you tried to download a different file, like a default one? First try it with out the remote connected, so that you won't lose what you have on there now.

If it works, then try to download the same default file to the remote. If it works, then there's something in the file that you are trying to download.

I know that it doesn't matter for this case. But I am on a Mac Mini using VMware, and downloading to my tsu-9400 works just fine.
