I recently decided that the old TSU1000 I had inherited from a family member needed replacement and got a great deal on a TSU9600. I figured that being able to program the TSU1000 with easy a couple years ago, the jump to the Pronto Professional would not be to hard.

Long story short, I am overwhelmed, don't know where to start or what to do :( (And to make things easier I only have Macs at home so I can only program at work).

At this point I would not mind using the default buttons from Philips, if only I could even program my devices in there, even the PEP manual is confusing to me.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I need to program the following devices:
- Pioneer 5070HD (Plasma)
- Sony STR-DA5200ES (receiver)
- SA 8300HD (Cable)
- Escient MX-111 (music/Movie server)
- Sony CX777ES (DVD carousel)
- Oppo 981HD (zone free DVD)
- Toshiba HD-A2 (HD-DVD)
- Sony PS3 (Blu-Ray and games)
- 1 "Misc" (Wii, MG35 Divx and Vudu box) are all plugged in one component IN on the receiver and use the same settings.

I was able to import the HD-A2 from an old CCF file found on this site but cannot even find the other items :(

It's not called "Pronto Professional" for nothing.

Having said that, .....it's all about the Database. Find your components in the factory DB and add them to "My database". If they don't exist create a new DB component via learning the IR codes. That would be where to start.

I'd start by importing the CCF from your old TSU1000.

You might also consider looking @ The Ultimate Pronto Guide (search the NG forum). The Pro editor is based on the older NG editor. Many tactics apply for the Pro that were used on the NG.
