Hi
approximately one year ago Barry Gordon sent me ProntoPAL and it works very good for me , thanks again !
I have completed my Homeseer software step by step and it becomes better and better.
Yesterday I have installed Homeseer BLLog plugin to start an event if a specific log message is shown in the homeseer log file (AH log) .
Is it possible that the pronto gives a acoustic signal ( beep or .wav) if this event is triggered ??

It's a pity that Pronto died , but I'm glad to have a TSU9800/9600 and 9400 and I'm often working with .
Homeseer is also a very good and flexible software.

I hope you could understand me, I come from Germany and my English is not the very best.

Regards,
Fischi

So you want your Pronto to notify you if certain events occur in Homeseer? I suppose it's possible To do via TCP, but seems to be a bit of work to do it. Also, what if you're away from home without your Pronto?

What I do is I have HomeSeer send my iPhone a notification. When certain events occur HomeSeer send email to my Prowl account. The Prowl app in my iPhone would the give me a notification. The time lag between a HomeSeer event occurring and my iPhone being notified is fairly quick. Typically under 5 seconds even if I'm far from home.

In my system I have a little plugin for Homeseer that gets notified of any and all changes to a device. It registers with HS to be notified of any and all changes. It then does a UDP broadcast on a specific port to all listeners on the LAN for each change it is notified of.

Since my in wall control systems (Touch panels) are iPads, they are listening at the UDP port and handle the messages as they come in. You can do the exact same thing with a Pronto UDP listener written in Prontoscript.

The HS plugin sequence numbers all of the messages and sends each message three times with the same sequence number since UDP is not guaranteed delivery, only best effort. The ipad ignores duplicate messages (same sequence number).

Hi, Barry,
Would you be so kind as to send me the HS plugin and the required prontoscript
(or a xcf if you have - or you could write ??)

Regards, Fischi

I have no problem sending you the plugin, I just want to make sure there is nothing specific to my system in it.

I thought I was clear in my post, I did not write anything for the Pronto, just for the iPad. My Pronto's are not used very heavily with HS, the iPads are. The Prontos can do all the same things as the iPad, but I saw no need for them to be constantly aware of things as they change.

The iPad's handle home automation, the Pronto's handle control of TV's and the Theater.

Let me know if you still want the plug in. You will have to write your own Pronto Code.
