Hi I remember reading that a Pronto can be duplicated on Ipad.I forgot where I read it, apparently you have to leave your pronto on. The question how do you do it and do you you have to purchase anything?

Thanks

Actually it will be nice one day if someone can develop an app to talk to rfx9600. Or even something similar to irule(as example) that uses rfx9600. Ill pay for it.

It is possible to do such a thing but it would be software that would best run on an intermediate controller (PC). The only thing one would have to figure out is how to convert a Pronto Code into the RAW Format which the RFX9600 expects.
Although possible, you have to look at who the consumer might be. The possible consumers for such a piece of software would be those who have the RFX9600 today (or pick one up off ebay) as they are no longer being manufactured. Therefore, to do something like this is really a labor of love that many are not likely to undertake.

sWORDs examined the RFX9600 UDP protocol in 2010, he posted some info on what he learned at that time in this forum. Basically he could control relays, RS232 and learned IR. Although he stopped posting without giving all details.
Last week I redid some of his work using an iPad with Command Fusions Iviewer. So far I managed to open/close the relays. The code is written in javascript and I posted the functions in Command Fusions google group. I used sudppipe for sniffing the traffic, it's a UDP proxy. One direct all traffic through a pc, the program can produce a cap file that wireshark can read.
I will probably continue with IR/RS232 when I find the time.

Well if someone ever did i will buy the app. But going by what you said i cannot see it happening.
