Use an existing button and change the image to the image(s) you want

Just add a new button, and change it.

This is the one main item that I really got stuck on for my first attempt using the software, it is not covered/described very well in the PEP manual. I believe it was "The Ultimate Pronto Guide" that finally gave me the clue I needed.

As far as I know it is not possible to create a new button. You need to insert a button from the gallery onto your page, then go to the properties of that button and change the images of the pressed and unpressed state. The PEP manual explains how to change the images.

You will need to complete what ever graphics magic(sizing/cropping/etc) you want on the image(s) prior to doing this of course.

You don't need to literally insert a new button from the gallery. Just make sure the page you want to place the new button on is selected, then choose Insert->Button from the file menu. This adds the default button to said page. From there simply double click on the button to access the Button Properties\Appearance tab. On the Appearance tab the Insert option allows you to browse your computer for a given image file. The Gallery option of course allows you to choose an image from the gallery instead. In my case I've never used the gallery. I just keep my image files orgranized in folders on my computer browsing to a given image file via the Insert option when needed via the Button Properties\Appearance tab. Using the gallery requires more work in my mind. Never messed with it.

Double click in the tree-view to open the page, then right-click the title bar of the page in the right-side editing area to select the page.
