Hi,

I am unable to connect my Pronto to my existing wifi network and thus not able to control my Escient DVDM300.

I managed to get connectivity yesterday but this dropped when i uploaded a revised template to my Pronto.

Since then I have tried to connect with DHCP and fixed IP addresses to no avail.
I have other devices connected wirelessly (xbox 360 etc) so i dont think it is a problem with my router (confirmed unsurprisingly with BT)..

The current details are as follows...

Router BT Home Hub
SSID BTHomeHUb-E982
WEP64 Encryption

Pronto Details

SSID BTHomeHub-E982
WEP64 Encryption
Hex Key Keyed

Time Out 2 Hours
IP 162.168.1.69
Gateway 192.168.1.254
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
DNS 192.168.1.254

(The gateway, subnet and DNS are the same as my other wireless devices)

I am not over familiar with wifi networks and all my other devices have worked first time so I am a bit lost and any assistance would be of help before I get intouvh with Philips as it may be a faulty unit.

Many thanks

Best test - turn off encryption, test the 9600 again and if it works then its the security settings entered on the 9600.

If I was in your situation, before going crazy trying all of the above (good) suggestions, I will try to "hard reset" the remote; try cutting the power switch and even removing the battery and wait for a good 10 minutes before replacing it. The TSU9600 have the tendency to memorize settings even if you did not assign to it.

Good luck!

??? The battery cannot be removed from the TSU9600...
If you still have the old template, you can check if wireles works with that one, at least then you know it is not a broken device.
Also check if you have not accidentally put in a space after the SSID, and if MAC-filtering of your AP allows this device on the network.

EDIT - I also see that in your SSID you once spell Hub with capital U, and once in small case. SSID's are case sensitive, they need to be exactly the same!! Hope this solves it for you.
