We have been working with DF Solutions Idyl Media Server and Pronto Pro TSU9600. The TSU9600 has in its files, the Escient Fireball programme. We are using these pages and have converted the Escient files to control our Idyl server with 2 way feedback for all Audio content.

What needs to be done to the Escient files to control the IDyl, so therefore 2 way feedback is available?
Does this also work with the DVD side??
Also, how can you control the multiple zones???

The cryptic message posted here seems to indicate that the Idyl Media Server now speaks the Escient protocol which means that you can likely use the built-in Escient device in the 9600 to control this server. They specifically did not mention if the Movie device was supported so let's see.
What has to be done? Very likely that it is nothing more than specifying the IP address on the Escient Device Properties and selecting the type of device you want. Movies or Music.

It is most likely that they have adopted the same protocol in their server as the Escient Prontoscipt is not availible for editing.

i don't see the advantage when DFsolutions offer their own (supported) modules for 9400/9600 control of iDyls across multizones (ie. iDyl + video nodes). Those modules do audio and video control too.
I must be missing something...!
